Home-Made Burgers with Relish

Sisters making your own burgers means you control what goes into them.I know the kids will love it because these are full of flavors and  you can never go wrong . This home made burgers are easy to make and the best part is that it will take you only about 25mins to make  the burgers.


2shallots chopped
450g\1lb lean minced (ground beef)
30ml\2tbsp chopped parsley
30ml\2tbsp tomato ketchup
1garlic clove, crushed
1fresh green chilli,seeded and finely chopped
15ml\1tbsp olive oil
400g\4oz can ratatouille
4 burger buns
lettuce leaves
salt and ground black peppers  to taste

Preparation 6mintues & Cooking 14mintues 

1.Put the  shallots in a bowl with boiling water to cover leave for 1-2 minutes then slip off the skin put the Shallots on a board and use a small sharp Knife to chop them finely.

2. Mix half the shallots with the beef in a bowl Add the chopped parsley and tomato ketchup with salt and peppers to taste Mix well with clean hands

3. Divide the beef mixture into four knead each portion into a ball then flatten it into a burger.

4. Make a spicy relish by cooking the remaining shallots with the garlic and green  chilli in the olive oil for 2-3minutes until soften.

5. Add the canned ratatouille to the pan containing the vegetables bring to the boil then lower the heat  and simmer for 5minutes .

6.Meanwhile preheat the grill (broiler) and cook the burgers for about 5minutes on each side until browned  and cook through. Meanwhile split the burger buns in Half . Arrange lettuce leaves on the bun bases add the burgers and top with the warm relish and the bun tops
